If you're doing your own taxes this year, the first
obstacle you'll
encounter is deciding which form to file.
Should you file a 1040
form (the long form)?

Tax Forms

The Missouri Department of Revenue, Division of Taxation and Collection, and Internal Revenue Service provides income and business tax forms, publications, and additional information. They can all be downloaded and printed at no cost.

What's New for 2007 Taxes

Did you know which tax credits expired in 2007? Are you eligible for the telephone excise tax refund? Did you know that there are new recordkeeping requirements for charity? If you're filing your own taxes, you need to be current on all the new tax laws.These guides cover all the latest changes in tax laws.

Tax Assistance

Missouri Department of Revenue provides tax help at the Tax Assistance Centers across the state. The Internal Revenue Center also has an online help center which provides directions for personal tax filing, free tax help to individuals who are aged 60 or older, free tax preparation for military personnel, and Free File Home, which allows you to file your federal taxes online free.

Lower Your Taxes

Lowering your taxes has a lot to do with deductions. Many deductions are overlooked, even by tax professionals. These websites review commonly overlooked deductions which can help you reduce your taxes, including moving and relocation expenses, classroom expenses for teachers, and many more.
