Bring your camera and manual and receive hands-on instruction in taking great pictures from Mitch Pence of Photographix. Topics will include: basic operation of a digital camera, composition, and how to download and store pictures.

Nothing like a little friendly competition! Any young adult 13 years od older is invited to participate in this monthly trivia competition. Snacks will be provided. This program is free and open to the public.

Emily Whaley, a South Carolina woman, turned her backyard into one of the nation's most acclaimed private gardens. She was the first to open her garden to the public to raise money for charities, attracting some 3,000 paying visitors a year which led some to call her garden the most visited private garden in the country. Master gardener Dee West, president of the Northland Garden Club, will present a video showcasing the garden and answer questions.
Join the Friends of the North Kansas City Public Library at its annual book sale Wednesday, March 31st through Saturday, April 3rd. Buy gently used bestsellers, current nonfiction, adult and children's books at the sale.
The sale corresponds to regular Library hours -- Wednesday and Thursday, 7am - 9pm; Friday, 7am - 6pm; and Saturday, 9am - 5pm.
